The salsa is a musical movement born in the early 70s created by Latin American immigrants in the United States as a tool for recovery of the popular culture of the Caribbean and Central America.

The music and salsa dancing, is much more than what many people imagine, it is a form of art with very old cultural and historical roots.As I see things “salsa is not Cuban music” or “Cuban music is salsa”, but the music could not live without salsa Cuban music, meanwhile the later will continue to exist without salsa music.

Salsa is evolving, is syncretism; without that it wouldn’t be salsa. As DJ I am not opposed to the introduction of any other rhythms, provided that the key and basic musical structure are respected. I believe that the participation of new trends is enriching on top of creating new routes to other cultures.
